Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is known for her acclaimed performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The actress has received numerous awards for her work which includes an Oscar. She began her career acting as an actress both on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Passionate about acting since her school days she played Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Mumps made her lose her hearing in one of her ear canals, but that was not enough to stop the actress from fulfilling her dream. In her early years, she studied drama in college and moved to New York City from Pittsburgh to pursue her ambitions. Hunter had her Broadway debut following an unplanned meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated to Los Angeles. Her work spans over 30 years, and she's been featured in numerous TV shows as well as series and films. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
